Haukur Ingvarsson

(b.1979) is a writer and editor of journal Skirnir. His first book of poetry, Downfall and Episodes of the Mysterious Mangi, was published in 2004, followed by a book on the late novels of Icelandic Nobel laureate Halldor Laxness (2009) and the historical novel November 1976 (2011). For his book of poetry, Ecostentialism (2018), Ingvarsson won the prestigious Tomas Gudmundsson Literary Prize. His latest book of poetry is called Men Who Love Men. Ingvarsson defended his PhD thesis on the reception of American novelist William Faulkner in Iceland in 2020. The thesis will be published by The Icelandic Historical Society in 2021.
