In Zero, Bank Street, Gudmundsson deals with the trinity of book knowledge, work knowledge and ethical knowledge; how this trinity has been broken up, the enormous power of the financial world, entertainment and thrillers, volcanoes, banks, and revolutions. Can culture be bought with money? He discusses the Report of the Special Investigation Commission into the collapse of the banks, comedians and cake baking, poverty and riches, justice and injustice; all of this is put forward through stories in which reality beats fiction by a mile.
