Reviews

“I just loved this book.”

EGILL HELGASON, KILJAN/NATIONAL TV

“Ragna Sigurdardottir is a very clever story teller. ... A beautifully crafted novel that will bring joy to many readers.”

KRISTJAN J. JONSSON, FRETTABLADID DAILY

“... a wonderful novel ... Ragna’s style is at its best in this account of women and the atmosphere in the middle of the 20th century in Europe. This novel went straight to my heart, I felt I knew all the characters in their convincing everyday life – and love. As ever, Ragna’s style is moderate, yet elegant, each detail contributes to the tightening of the plot and the depth of the feelings, when one incident turns everything upside down. Man is a complex animal, and Ragna has a knack for creating convincing characters.”

FRIDA BJORK INGVARSDOTTIR

FOUR STARS OF FIVE POSSIBLE “A well-told tale of love and destiny lives up to its promises.”
