Reviews
The story is superbly written, and the horrors always lurking just beneath the surface of the text are almost tangible. Its images are powerful and convincing, echoing the work of authors such as Jon Trausti, who wrote so well and vividly about the hardships ordinary Icelandic folk had to endure at one time.
