About to undergo a major operation, Stella is fearful. Either the pain in her back will disappear, or she’ll be in even worse shape than before. As if that’s not enough, Mom is pregnant with twins and crazier than ever. She and Dad plan to finally get married, but now they have to postpone the wedding, and the way things are going, maybe it’ll never happen. It’s a good thing Siggi’s walking around singing “Hakuna Matata” from The Lion King. But Siggi might actually be more worried than anyone else in the family. Will he continue to be Siggi Sweet-As-Pie after the babies are born? Or will he turn into a sourpuss?

Reviews

“This is a truly fun and well-written book, and the stylized bold and italic fonts help convey the emphasis and emotion behind each individual word and sentence. It’s really a shame that Siggi the Sourpuss is the last book in this series about Stella and her strange family, but considering Gunnar’s prolific output of children’s books in recent years, there’s no need to despair; he is sure to create more stories and characters that build children’s social understanding in a fun and unique manner.”
