Murder at the Government Offices (1997)

A new crime series set in Iceland featuring hardboiled and witty lawyer Stella Blomkvist, a young woman who likes whiskey and sleeps around.

Armed with pearls of wisdom from her mum, she specializes in debt collection. One night she receives a call from a dubious character from the underworld who wants her to act as his bail bondsman. Blomkvist says no, but the request has set things in motion.
