As the trees start bearing fruit, Maximus Musicus begins to miss his home pastures; he would love to be back in the country, picking berries. When Maximus hears a group of children singing in the concert hall, and realises that they are about to go on a trip, he impulsively joins them.

Maximus Musicus Meets the Choir is the fourthbook about the music-loving mouse, who has become a household name amongst Icelandic children. This time he joins a children’s choir leaving for a weekend of rehearsals in the country — and finds himself in a tight spot with the local farmer’s cat. He then saves the day for two young choristers who are feeling very homesick.
