Olafur Gunnar Gudlaugsson

(b.1964) was awarded the 2021 Icelandic Children’s Literature Award for Lightbringer, the first installment of The Last Warlock trilogy. Gudlaugsson has published a number of popular children’s books and plays about Benedict the Elf, but Lightbringer is his first novel for older readers.
