Gudmundur Andri Thorsson

(b.1957) published his first novel, My Wonderful Angst, in 1988 to a very positive reception. He was awarded the DV Cultural Prize for Literature for his novel The Icelandic Dream in 1991 and two of his books have been nominated to the Icelandic Literature Prize. Gudmundur Andri Thorsson is one of Iceland‘s most respected writers, praised for his superlative style and writing skills. He has also translated several works of fiction into Icelandic. His novel And the Wind Sees All was nominated to the Nordic Council Literature Prize 2012.
