Einar Lovdahl

Einar Lovdahl

(b.1991) holds a degree in Icelandic from the University of Iceland and has worked as a journalist but is also involved in the music world. Many of his lyrics have gone on to become favorites among Icelanders. In 2015 his short story Here Lies the Average Joe appeared in the literary journal Skídbladnir, and a year later a German translation of the story was included in an anthology of Nordic short stories released by the University of Greifswald. Late winter 2018 saw the release of Aron – My Story, the life story of Aron Einar Gunnarsson captain of Iceland’s national soccer team, which was recorded by Einar. Einar received a debut prize for his short story collection In the Midst of the Crowd, which was published in 2021. His latest work is the novel Crosswind, published in 2024 to a great acclaim.
