With a master's degree in Folkloristics, she received The Icelandic Literature Center’s Grassroot Grant for her debut novel, Grima Palsdottir’s Extraordinary Journey, in 2018 and Storytel Audio Award in 2020. Her acclaimed work, Daughters, was nominated for the European Union Literature Prize in 2021.
