Aslaug Jonsdottir

(b.1963) received The Reykjavik Children’s Literature Prize for her work as illustrator in 2000, and was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award the same year. Her illustrations have been selected for the IBBY Honor List: Children’s Verses with text by Bodvar Gudmundsson in 2004 and The Story of the Blue Planet with text by Andri Snaer Magnason in 2002, for which she received the West-Nordic Children’s Book Prize and the UKLA Award 2014 along with the author. She was nominated for the 2015 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award for her work.
